Shape the Future of Trakt
Browse full streaming service catalogue beyond trending titles
Allow browsing everything on a streaming service — thousands of titles — instead of only what is popular or trending, where the limit seems to be about 500. The customer likes to discover unpopular new titles occasionally.
Show streaming service for a title upfront
Show which streaming service has a title upfront, with zero clicks, as Reelgood does.
Copyable list format for bulk processing titles
Offer a list format alongside the grid format that is easy to copy and run through other software to bulk process titles. Thousands of titles are available and clicking on them one by one is not workable; the customer feels like beating Trakt software with a hammer trying to get a list of titles to watch, while in Reelgood 5 clicks produce a workable list, at which point accuracy of that list is less important than the hours Trakt would take to accomplish the same thing.
One-click marking of titles as watched
Reduce marking a title as watched to a single click. Currently Trakt takes 3 clicks, which the customer finds unfriendly compared to Reelgood's one-click marking.
Remember dismissal of other-app install interstitial
Every login to the main app shows an interstitial promoting another app the customer does not want. Add a flag to the main app that remembers the choice not to install the other app, so the interstitial stops appearing on every login.
Remove the streak feature
Kill the streak feature Remove the streak feature from Trakt. The customer uses Trakt to keep track of watching and does updates without doing so daily; the streak adds no value and they do not want the product gamified.
Dedicated watched list of finished titles
Add a dedicated watched list next to the watchlist, containing all titles (both movies and shows) that have been finished. History serves a similar purpose, but sorting doesn't work there and especially shows are displayed per episode. The watched list would only feature show titles, no seasons or episodes, with all the regular list sorting and filtering options so previously watched content can be browsed — for example to quickly remember a forgotten title or to pinpoint which previously watched content to add back to the watchlist to rewatch in the future. When difficult to implement, proper sorting options in the history sections would probably work as well, but the single episode instead of full show problem would remain. Since all the data is already there, an automatic list filled with watched content seems like an easy and quick fix.
Restore multi-year stats ranges like 2019-2024
Make it so you can get stats for multiple years Stats for multiple years are no longer available. Up until recently it was possible to get stats for a range such as "2019-2024", but now it is not. Bring that back. Stats are the core of Trakt and the reason for paying for a VIP membership in the first place.
Conexión con JustWatch no muestra series disponibles en Argentina
La conexión con JustWatch no funciona correctamente para Argentina: no se muestran series que realmente están disponibles en esa región.
Option to make personal Progress page public
Add a Public / Private setting for the personal Progress page, similar to how public lists work, so other people can view the current TV-show progress from the Trakt profile or through a shareable link. Someone viewing a public Progress could see: Which shows I'm currently watching Which season and episode I'm currently on My progress through each show Shows I've completed or dropped Potentially my overall viewing progress/percentage Since some users may want to keep this information private, it could be an optional setting that is Private by default, with users choosing whether to make it public. People are already asking about sharing their Progress with friends who aren't on Trakt; a public Progress page would make Trakt more useful for sharing what you're currently watching and could help introduce new people to Trakt.
Option to make the Watchlist public
Add a Public / Private setting for the Trakt Watchlist, similar to how custom lists can be shared. The Watchlist is already the list the customer actively maintains for movies and shows they plan to watch, and making it public would let them share what they are currently planning to watch with friends, family, or other Trakt users without having to maintain a separate list.
Trailers and teasers section on discovery tab
Add a “trailers and teasers” section on the discovery tab.
Display "Where to Watch" when hovering over posters
It would be nice if you could preview where to stream on hover, like you could in v2. Currently, you have to go into each item to find that info.
Display movie theater locations near me for the movies that aren’t on streaming yet

AppIntents / SiriAI integration
natural add-to-watchlist integration (from Siri, from the ShareSheet on any web page…)
Add Change of Status to Export
Please can the Change of Status of TV Shows be added to the Export file, either as a separate file or better still add to one of the existing export files for shows.
JustWatch integration issues
I've noticed that some of the movies don't show the streaming services available under JustWatch. If I see the same movie on JustWatch app- the streaming service appears. I guess it's also not picking up ratings from IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes for these movies..
Watched - Unknown date
Currently if I select Unknown date - Trakt marks it as watched today. Which isn't great (or else I would select that). The default should be release date.
Change the default sorting of Continue Watching
The old Trakt had this. I personally prefer having the opposite order to the current default, where the show I watched longest ago appears first, which allows for you to cycle through your shows better imo.
Bring back the sorting functionality and collections
I mainly use this site for collection tracking as well as sorting my lists by last watched as well as filtering on my collected items only. I need this functionality at a minimum for this app to be useable for the future
