Bring back password login and make it possible to log out

Feature Request

Forced email login is a terrible flow for people with password managers. Instead of authenticating automatically, I have to wait for an email, then copy a code or click a button there. This is a big downgrade for no good reason.

Also, logout is completely broken. It logs you out, but the next time you click login, it does not require any form of authentication, you are logged right back.

    What happened to passwords?

    I’m sick of having to wait for a god damned email every time the site logs me out, and with the new email system it seems to log me out every bloody day when I come here.

    If you’re going to use email bullshit, at least DON’T HAVE THE FUCKING SITE TIME ME OUT BEFORE THE EMAIL ARRIVES!!!

    Or at least let old accounts use the newer login methods!

    Trying now just creates a new account, even if the same email is connected! (using google login)

    I do not want to have to go to my email to sign into this site… why cant i just use a password as per normal. Magic links only is worse experience for users.

    Additional issue: the login flow is inconsistent. Submitting this feedback required logging in again, and that second login prompted for email + password — not the email-code method that's otherwise being enforced. If password login still works in some contexts, it should be available everywhere, including the primary login screen.
