Friend / User Compatability

Here's a thought I had last night: I think a cool, unique, feature would be something like a compatibility meter between yourself and other users. For example, I go to another users profile and in the top bit I can see we're 92% compatible (doesn't have to be a percentage). This "compatibility" is a combination of recent watch history, all ratings across movies/shows we've both watched, and overlap in favorited movies/shows.

From this compatibility, I could tell pretty quickly if we have the same media preferences, and from there I'm more likely to explore their favorites, lists, and recent ratings.

While I personally don’t follow anyone (my friends still prefer Letterboxd), I do often find myself looking at other user profiles after reading a review I agreed with. I like to find users with similar preferences, and from there find new movies or shows I haven't heard of. And, since I mostly lurk, this is more likely to get me engaged with the social side of Trakt.
