How to Add a Show or Movie

VIPs used to have the ability to add a show or movie, providing its TMDB ID in the process. Now, for example, SOKO Linz does not come up in Trakt when I search for it, but TMDB has the show listed. How do we ping Trakt to link up with TMDB and load the show?

    I believe you need to make sure the IMDB ID is added to TMDB.

    When that's been done the item should be added to Trakt within 24 hours.

      Thank you for that detail, changnoi. You have discovered an important key!

      On a side note, SOKO Linz is in fact listed in Trakt, and since then I’ve found another show which doesn’t show up when searched by title, but does show up if searched by the director. Version 3 search is definitely still buggy.

    Thank you, kuuzo. That’s the process I followed, and it worked fine. Odd that it doesn’t come up by its own name.

    It’s in there, the problem is that search is broken and you can only find it by searching for an actor it in, and then going to the show page from the actor’s page:
