Adding Episodes and Seasons to Lists in v3

This action is currently not possible in v3. I don’t see a reason for it. This was an essential feature for timelines, watch orders, tracking how much you've watched on each streaming service in a year, etc. It has a ton of use cases.

After being forced to v3 against my will, I’ve canceled my VIP. For years, Trakt made me extremely happy. Now it just makes me sad. 😔

A primary reason I pay for VIP is to have the ability to have many lists where I can rank the TV seasons of each year, and means a lot to me. If this isn’t re-introduced by the time my current VIP subscription expires, I will most likely end my time on this website.

how is this something that needs to be “voted” upon to add to roadmap. i’ve been a VIP since trakt came out, how can you remove our access to V2 as VIP members and force V3 on everyone without this basic functionality? its honestly absurd, what is even the point of lists if you can only add WHOLE shows to them? i mean the whole point of a list is to create your own custom watch orders lol this has to be some joke but nope, decided to do a rewatch of stargate today and went to create a list and yep… its just … NOT EVEN AN OPTION like please guys what is the thinking of forcing v3 out to everyone when something so basic isn’t even added? atleast give us back the option to copy public lists since you removed that also we can’t even do that to copy lists already made!!

Another example is the German-Austrian-Swiss series “Tatort” which is often released in groups by the name of the detective or city. My Tatort lists for MHz Choice can’t be added to, and in August 2026, they are releasing a new season of “Tatort: Borowski”.

I cannot believe Trakt removed the ability to add seasons and episodes to lists. This is the whole reason I pay for VIP, and have done for what must be over a decade now. In fact, I really dislike this whole new update. It has ruined the website for me.

I concur. For my MCU list, I need to be able to put whole seasons in the list. Fix this please

I would like to express my support for the reinstatement of this feature. The ability to manage episode and season lists is essential for various functionalities. I hope this request will be considered soon.

    Seasons / Episode Lists

We should bring in the capability from V2 to add individual Seasons / Episodes to lists.

In V3, we can add Shows and Films to lists. However, many people maintain canon-based lists that would require individual seasons/episodes of shows to be added to lists.

For example, see the MCU. If you want to create a list that is timeline accurate, you would need to place individual seasons and episodes into a list. The current process would only contain the show, for example, but not the nuance of certain episodes that take place before/after films.

I have to agree. This is such a basic feature which has been removed in the ‘upgrade’ to v3. This is important for many lists to function.

I have a few lists I’ve made that include episodes / seasons and films. For them not to work in v3 is such a disappoint.

Fyi this is an open issue on github. 6 months and no response as to when, or if, this will be added in v3.

    Hello,

I would really like to once again have the ability to add seasons to lists. Right now it does not seem possible.

    Thank you.
