Option to hide social feed section
Add an option to hide the social feed section. The story cards and the "For You" page are not wanted: the numbered notification bubble on the main page is distracting, and since the customer does not follow anyone the feed only displays stats from the Trakt staff, which is entirely irrelevant.
Restore vertical episode list layout instead of horizontal scrolling
Vertical alignment for episode lists Bring back a vertically aligned episode list so all episode information is visible at a glance. The current horizontal scrolling layout requires clicking through individual episodes or scrolling endlessly to find what is being looked for. The previous layout displayed the episode title, episode number, and description all in one block, which made browsing episodes much easier, rather than requiring extra clicks and a popup window to get this info. The popup window is best suited for additional information that isn't necessary at a glance.
Watchlist support for episodes and seasons in V3
The recently completed feature for adding episodes and seasons to lists (https://roadmap.trakt.tv/p/adding-episodes-and-seasons-to-lists-in-v3) does not cover adding episodes and seasons to the watchlist, which is still missing in V3. However, it is still missing the crucial function of adding episodes and seasons to your watchlist. The watchlist needs the same ability to add episodes and seasons, as the originally-requested feature is not fully completed yet and more work is to be done.
Restore Listed/Not listed filter
Bring back the Listed/Not listed filter now that a lot more filters have been added again.
Make custom library the default instead of Plex
Ability to Make Custom Library Default not PLex Selecting Movies or Shows defaults to Plex, which most users don't have. The default should be the customer's custom library instead of Plex. The customer adds that this is very frustrating and, as with Collection Viewing, threatens to cancel VIP after being a long time user if it isn't changed. Like I said for Collection Viewing, the customer will cancel VIP, long time user.
Remove watch list limit or raise it for premium users
The watch list has a limit on how many items can be added. Remove the limit, or at least make it an option available to premium users.
Bring back VIP ability to force Refresh from data sources.
The link on the left in version 2 allowed VIP members to trigger a refresh of data for a show from its source (usually TMDB). The 2026 version is missing this link. I updated a show yesterday on TMDB, and as it’s a low-traction show, it could take a while for the data to be updated by a routine pull from Trakt. I thought perhaps the TMDB pulls had been sped up, making the Trigger button unnecessary, but it appears not to be the case.
DATE WATCHED.
Why the hell did you change the way you enter what date you watched a movie for. The new takes way too long. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Option to disable seasonal event themes
Add a setting that lets users opt out of seasonal event themes like Halloween and keep the site's default theme during these periods. Seasonal themes can feel distracting and overly busy, and keeping the standard look would make the browsing experience cleaner and more comfortable.
Notifications based on local release date
Notifications for a movie or TV show should be tied to the release date in the user's own country, not the media's original country, or at least offer a choice between the two. A US movie could be released in the US but never in France or Japan, and a UK TV show could be shown on tuesday nights in the UK but on a different day and on a different network in Spain. Getting notifications for something that cannot be watched locally makes no sense, and a notifications offset is not a solution since each media can have a different schedule.
Add seasons to lists in V3 for single-season shows
Add Seasons to Lists in V3 for Shows with a Single Season Manage lists for a season of a show that only has a single season in V3. This includes miniseries, and also shows that will have multiple seasons but only the first season has been released so far. The previous feature request about adding episodes and seasons to lists was marked "Completed" (https://roadmap.trakt.tv/p/adding-episodes-and-seasons-to-lists-in-v3) by the Trakt team yesterday, but this crucial function is still missing, and more work is to be done so the originally-requested feature is fully completed. However, it is still missing the crucial function of managing lists for a season of a show that only has a single season, so this request is to help ensure that the Trakt team doesn't lose sight of the fact that the originally-requested feature isn't fully completed yet.
Restore access to Trakt Classic for VIP members
Disappointed VIP Member Restore access to Trakt Classic for VIP members, or at the very least provide an option to choose between the classic and new interfaces. The latest interface update made the experience significantly worse: the layout feels less intuitive, navigating the site is more frustrating, and features and information that were easy to access before now feel unnecessarily complicated. Accessing Trakt Classic directly consistently redirects to the new version, so paying VIP subscribers can no longer use the classic interface they were comfortable with. The customer is a loyal Trakt user who genuinely loves the platform and everything it offers for tracking movies and TV shows, and wants Trakt to succeed. Paying subscribers should feel that their loyalty and feedback matter; an update should improve the user experience, not make a beloved platform more difficult to use. Giving users the choice between interfaces would demonstrate respect for the community that has supported Trakt over the years.
Sort by most Collected and Watched again
Restore a way to sort shows and movies by most watched or most collected. Trakt v3 had a way to view most watched or collected shows/movies, and that sort option is no longer available.
Restore multi-year stats ranges like 2019-2024
Make it so you can get stats for multiple years Stats for multiple years are no longer available. Up until recently it was possible to get stats for a range such as "2019-2024", but now it is not. Bring that back. Stats are the core of Trakt and the reason for paying for a VIP membership in the first place.
Calendar option to hide unstarted watchlisted series episodes
Show watchlisted upcoming series in Calendar without showing unstarted existing series Add a Calendar option that distinguishes between watchlisted shows that haven't premiered yet and existing shows on the Watchlist that haven't been started watching. The ideal Calendar would: Show episodes from series already being watched. Show premieres of upcoming/new series added to the Watchlist so their debuts aren't missed. Hide episodes from existing series added to the Watchlist but not started. For example, adding an upcoming series to the Watchlist before it premieres should make its premiere appear on the Calendar, but adding an older series with multiple seasons to the Watchlist as a someday-watch should not clutter the Calendar with its currently airing episodes before the series has actually been started. The exact implementation could vary: Trakt could distinguish between shows based on whether they have aired their series premiere yet, whether the user has watched any episodes, or another approach that produces this behavior, or just show series (or season) premieres for watchlisted shows in the calendar, or make it a setting. Rationale: a Watchlist represents intent to watch someday, while continue watching / history represents something actively followed. Treating those the same in the Calendar creates noise and makes it hard to track upcoming things that matter, while completely hiding Watchlist items would lose one of the most useful reasons to add an upcoming series to a Watchlist: knowing when something anticipated finally premieres. This would let the Calendar focus on shows actively watched plus upcoming shows being waited for, without filling it with episodes from backlog shows not started.
Error reporting option for movie/TV release dates
Add an error reporting option for each film or TV series episode so that discrepancies in release dates (for example between Trakt and IMDB) can be reported more efficiently. The customer notes these are legit release date errors, not cases of an international movie or show premiering in their home country after airing in its own home country.
Set default sort order for Watchlist
Allow setting the default order of the main Watchlist to something other than Date Added, such as Release Date or Runtime, with the option to change it like was recently implemented for normal lists.
Sort "Continue Watching" by next episode release date
Currently, when sorting shows by release date on the "Continue Watching" page, it orders them based on the show's original release date. It would be a great feature to sort them by the release date of the upcoming episode instead. This would make tracking crossover shows—like Arrow and The Flash—much easier and far more enjoyable to watch in exact release order.
Rewatch a single season with one click
Restore the ability to rewatch a single season of a show with one click, as available in v2. On the Android app it is currently possible to rewatch an entire show or a single episode, but not a single season.
